SKULLFLOWER was created by me, Alex Oka, an electronic musician and graphic designer based out of Austin, TX. I built Skullflower because I need to make sense of the contrast — life and death, beauty and decay. Skullflower is my way of turning those ideas into something tangible — hats and objects that carry story, humor, soul, and wear.
Each piece is designed to be lived in — something you return to, not just something you own.
Custom Hats
First, I offer custom hats. This is a true 1:1 process — we talk through color, materials, shape, texture, and overall vibe, and I build something specifically for you. Consultations can happen online, or in person if you’re in Austin, Texas.
Chapters
Second, every one to two months, I release thematic drops. These include ball caps (snapbacks, dad hats, five-panels — all billed caps), beanies, jackets, and jewelry. Each drop revolves around a specific idea or mood and is produced in limited quantities. Once a drop sells out, it’s done. No restocks, no reruns. They’re meant to be collected, worn, and eventually aged — like anything worth keeping.
The Bloom Room
Third, I create one-of-a-kind felt hats — pieces made to a specific size, sold as they are. If it fits, it fits. These are the more experimental, expressive side of Skullflower. Some are collaborations with artists, others are just me pushing ideas further, and trying new things. Check out The Bloom Room.
Signatures
Finally, Signatures are established Skullflower designs, made to order in your size. Each style has been carefully developed and refined, then reproduced using the same materials, proportions, and construction as the original. These are not seasonal releases or one-of-one customs, but core designs meant to be worn, returned to, and made again.
